Sooo my last journal dated from 2009. Maaaaaybe I should update everyone? Cause I'm sure you're all following me with baited breath
I just graduated university doing CGI and got my first proper job and stuff. I'm an official CGI artist. I get a salary and everything. Such a novelty!
Check out my showreel on my website if you're interested in the sort of stuff I've been doing for uni: www.alexvfx.co.uk/
This also means I have more time to draw cause uni for the past 4 years was great but always left me feeling kinda creatively drained so I haven't contributed as much as I have done in the past. Working 9 - 5 means I actually have non-guilty me time to do stuff like drawing which is amazing.
I do still take commissions, prices have gone up somewhat though, send me a note me for a quote (heh rhymes) as it really depends on what you want. I'm still happy to take on speed paintings (1 - 2 hrs) these would be about £40.
So, I'm curious, in the last five years what have you been up to? Whoever you are, I really want to get more involved with everyone here again so let me know! :¬)
+SPEED PAINT COMMISSIONS+
Yup, I thought I'd start offering these as I've started Uni and I'm rather in need of the cash at the moment!
I'm doing two types of speed paint. This is either a one hour speed such as http://alexandrabirchmore.deviantart.com/art/1hr-Speed-1-139028205 and http://alexandrabirchmore.deviantart.com/art/1hr-speed2-139028254 or a two hour one such as http://alexandrabirchmore.deviantart.com/art/2hr-speed-1-139145488 .
I would've offered more examples but my computer went kapooly last week so I haven't been able to. should have it back in a few days though.
PRICES
1 Hour = £6 / $10 / 6.50
2 Hours = £11 / $18 / 12

My DeviantArt "birthday" is soon, I'll be four years old! :noes: It was only four years ago I happened to be linked to DA, and to date its been my most consistent internet obsession yet! ~legaspplz (https://www.deviantart.com/legaspplz)
I do frequent alot of other sites though, because I find they're good resources or amusing or anything even, and they're often found through someone or a web page linking it to me.
So I figure the theme for this journal could be "lets exchange recommended websites!" :iconohjoyplz:
I mean not excluding obvious ones like Wiki and youtube and just link to anything you find/useful entertaining, my square eyes will be eternally grateful!!

Show name suggestions!
EDIT::
Thankyou to ~sassyhelkat (https://www.deviantart.com/sassyhelkat) for the suggestion of Hot Rod! We went to the show under that name, didn't get past the second fence in showjumping (pretty much expected :XD: ) Got round the cross country cross albeit haphazardly, and came 5th in dressage :P ! Thanks for all your suggestions guys, really helpful
So after two and half years of owning my horse I'm heading off to my first show in three weeks. A one day event to be precise. Never mind that Rodney can't jump for shiz and tends to crash through and fall over jumps more than actually jump them (HELP ME GOD) the guys down the yard said it would be fun.
SO ANYWAY, Rodne
Too...many...requests!!!! D: D:
Okay, this has been happening more and more and more lately and I'd like some opinions on it. The question in question being do you allow your work to be posted on other people's blogs and private websites?
See, up until now it didn't really bother me to give people permission to use my pics on their site (with credit obviously) but I've been asked about it so much lately (seriously, look at the comments on my page! D: ) I'm sort of not sure what to do.
The way I see it is as long as its for a non profit non corporate use and they give full credit and link to my gallery I honestly don't mind. I suppose its publicity in a way, and at least
