This was orginally a challedge to see how realistic I could get a picture to look if I didn't use references, but I've ended up just being sick of the sight of it. Gah.

The background is so cold, I might have titled it January of the Soul instead.
I would have shown slight flexion in the fetlock on raised foreleg and a bit more length in the neck under the tucked head. Other than that, this is amazing.
I haven't used references in so long, that using them now drives me NUTS! Of course, that tidily explains why my proportions are always so wonky.
